The weird part of Colorado

Jamie and I spent a few days around Christmas 2023 in the San Luis Valley visiting a few strange and beautiful places. We saw Great Sand Dunes National Park, The Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Colorado Gators Reptile Park, the UFO Watchtower (it was closed, but I caught a glimpse), Crestone Ziggurat, a full moon over Crestone, a coyote, an elk and a drive-by view of the Love Has Won cult house.
We also went to the Greenhouse hot springs at Sand Dunes Recreation and I highly recommend it, although those pictures are only on my phone. During our visit, the moon was so bright and the night was so cold! Crestone is a dark sky community and I want to go back in the summer to photograph the Milky Way…and maybe the UFO Watchtower at night.
